The Bible is a library of writings, both divine and human, that tell a unified story leading us to Jesus. But are the words in this strange, ancient book still relevant? Do they still mean anything to us today?

To Jesus, the Bible is trustworthy. To Jesus, the Bible has authority. To Him, the Bible is what empowers us to live the best life imaginable. Scripture was designed to be read for formation, to shape us into the image of Jesus.

Series Topics

Week 1 – The Bible Instructs
For some time, there was a myth that the majority of the people you encounter and interact with in the United States would be Christian. Now, we’re just waking up to the realization that this was never true – the way of Jesus has always been a narrow path taken by the few, not the many. In a culture that largely values the exact opposite of what Jesus did, it’s more important than ever to know how to navigate our life. We’ll learn together how, when we don’t know what to do, the Bible instructs us.

Week 2 – The Bible Speaks
There are three kinds of people when it comes to the Holy Spirit: the curious, the concerned, and the closed off. Whichever we may be, the Bible can speak to us about the Holy Spirit, helping us separate the weird from the true. Join us to hear about how He can be our power and guide through life.

Week 3 – The Bible Connects
As many of us discovered over the past two years, isolation is a big deal, such a big deal that solitary confinement is considered cruel and unusual punishment in some jurisdictions. Binging a whole season of our new favorite show alone is fun for a while, unless the loneliness comes back and we realize that we weren’t created to do life alone. The Bible connects us to the family of God and teaches us how to walk together in Christian community as a spiritual family.
