Week 1 – The Face of the Man
God already knows us intimately, but He wants us to know Him. Jesus, fully man, came to Earth to communicate to us - and when we follow the greatest communicator of all time, we learn how to communicate with others better than ever before. In this message, we look at how a 1st century doctor named Luke shows us the face of the Man as a picture of who Jesus is.
Week 2 – The Face of the Lion
We’re all guilty of believing the lie that the things the world has to offer us are better than the things God has to offer us. Matthew, a former 1st century tax collector, wants to help us see through the lie. He wants us to see the face of the Lion as a picture of who Jesus is. Jesus, the King, came to protect us from living a way of life that hurts us - following Him means we help protect others too.
Week 3 – The Face of the Ox
Problems in life are inevitable. How we handle them will define us - and Jesus, the Servant, knew how to put others first, even when His greatest temptation was to put them last. The author Mark wants us to see the face of the Ox as a picture of who Jesus is - and, according to Him, learning this is the secret to experience breakthrough and miracles in our everyday life when we need them most.
Week 4 – The Face of the Eagle
If we’re honest, letting go of our way of life to practice Jesus’ way of life is much harder than we’d like to admit. The author John wants us to see that Jesus’ way is better by showing us the face of the Eagle as a picture of who Jesus is - God in the flesh. Learn more about how Jesus, the overcomer, flips the script on Easter and teaches us that it’s only by having less of ourselves that we get more of Him. The irony is that it’s always worth it.
