Many people view the Holy Spirit as an "it" or an impersonal force, or even as Casper the friendly ghost even though He is none of those things. The Bible teaches us that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and that He is our source of peace, power, wisdom, and strength. In this series, we will learn that the Holy Spirit is a person, and as a person, He can be known. As a born-again Christian, you can connect with Him and experience His transformative power in your life.

If Jesus, the Son of God, needed the power of the Holy Spirit during His ministry on earth, then how much more do we need Him in our lives today?

In fact, Jesus' last command to His disciples before He ascended to heaven in Acts 1:8 was that they should wait to receive the power of the Holy Spirit, who would empower them to be His witnesses: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Take your church through this new teaching series and learn how to cultivate a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to transform your lives and empower you to be witnesses for Christ in your families, workplaces, and communities.

Series Topics

Week 1 – The Holy Spirit is a Person
Join us for week one as we learn that while our experiences inform us, only God's Word can truly transform us. That's why we'll turn to the Bible to see what Jesus says about the Holy Spirit. In John 16:7, Jesus tells His disciples that it is better for Him to leave and send another, a helper, the person of the Holy Spirit.

Week 2 – The Holy Spirit Works In Us
Join us for week two as we discuss the three ways that the Holy Spirit works in the life of a Christian. We will discover how the Holy Spirit’s role in the life of a Christian is central to making us more like Jesus and empowering us to live out our faith.

Week 3 – The Holy Spirit Works Through Us
In week three of our series on The Holy Spirit, we will learn about the infilling or baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer for works of service. We will explore why it is important to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and how it enables us to minister love, grace, and healing to a hurting world.
